The Remote Sensing and Geospatial Science team is seeking two highly motivated Ph.D. candidates to work on a NASA -funded project. The project is developing Machine Learning/deep learning method to detect Flood extents and Impacts from satellite imagery (image classification task).
Qualifications: Applicants for these positions should hold a degree in engineering, geospatial science, computer science, physics or mathematics, or related fields. The candidates are expected to be very motivated for carrying out a Ph.D. study and work independently while, at the same time, cooperating with the project team. Programming and analytical skills are expected. The scholarship includes a stipend, tuition fee, and conference allowance.
